William "Randy" Randolph Mize Sr.

William Randolph Mize, Sr. (Randy), 86, died Friday, July 12, 2024, at home with his family. Randy was born in Martinsville, Virginia, the son of John Kermit Mize and Doris Major Mize. He attended Durham High and NC State University. He worked as an engineer for Olympic Products, a division of Cone Mills. After retirement, Randy and his wife, Erline, moved to Oak Island, NC, where they were members of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Johnny Mize. He is survived by his wife, Erline; son, Rowdy Mize (Allison); daughter, Yvonne Smiley; and grandchildren, Stuart Mize (Julianna); Caroline Targonski (Blake); Emma Mize; Alex Mize; sisters, Janice McBroom; Vicky Long (Andy); and sister-in-law, Jane Mize. The family would like to express their gratitude to Griswold Home Care and AuthoraCare.

The family is having a private celebration of life at Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home on July 21, 2024.
