

He leaves his wife, Doreen Thompson, and two children, Tayla and Zane. He also leaves is mother, Kathlene Thompson, as well as two brothers and two sisters, Steven and David Thompson, Roberta Vanech and Donna Sanabria. He also leaves behind eleven nieces and nephews and their families.
Zane was born in Stamford, CT on October 18, 1956. He graduated Westhill High School where he met his true love Doreen Coppola. They married in 1985 and have been together now for 40 years! They eventually moved to Greensboro, NC with their two children in 2004.
Zane was a pillar of strength and inspiration to his nieces and nephews, and had a large circle of friends that he cherished throughout his life. He was such a loving and giving person. He enjoyed sports and especially coaching his children. He was an avid Yankees and Green Bay Packers fan. Most of all, he loved the Lord.
Funeral arrangements have been made at Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home located at 515 North Elm Street, Greensboro, NC 27401. Visitation will be this Thursday October 29, 2015 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm followed by a Christian service at their on-site chapel.
In addition, we are having a celebration of life in Stamford, CT in the summer of 2016. Details will follow.
