Zelda (Ruthie) Greenberg Chamberlain was born in Greensboro, NC to Edna and Saul Greenberg on July 3, 1937, the third of four siblings. She lost her mother while in high school, and continued to live with her father in Greensboro until they moved to Miami Beach, FL many years later. There she met and married Edward (Tex) Chamberlain. She was employed in the food service industry. After her husband’s death, she moved to Southbridge, MA, to live with her sister, Joan Greenberg. In the last year of her life, she struggled with dementia, and died on September 23, 2022 at the age of 85. She was predeceased by her mother and father and her two brothers, Leland and Norman Greenberg. At the time of her death, she was survived by her sister, Joan. She is now survived by her cousins Toby Parcel (John Gerber) of Raleigh, NC, Ted Parcel (Kathy) of Emmaus, PA, and their families. She is buried in the Hebrew Cemetery in Greensboro, NC, next to her immediate family.
