Betty Jean Smith Smallwood

Betty Jean Smallwood, 72, of Greensburg passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2016, at her home with her family by her side. She was born on April 27, 1944 in Manchester, Kentucky the daughter of Warren and Alice (Hubbard) Smith. She married Raleigh Smallwood and together they had four children; Janet, Don, Debbie, and Angie. Betty was a home health caregiver for over 30 years. She was proud of her garden and her flowers. She loved her family, birds, dogs, fishing, crafting, and flea markets. She was a member of New Beginnings Assembly of God.

Survivors include: Children- Janet (Nick) White, Don (Brenda) Smallwood, Debbie (Tom Bower) Smallwood, and Angie (Jim) Colson; Siblings- Henry (Delores) Smith, Sarah Harris, and Mary Asher; Sister in Laws- Jewell Smith and Sally Smith; Grandchildren- Tonya Shoupe, Josh Smallwood, Kyle McLaughlin, Courtney Smallwood, Brian Grubb, and Logan Bower; and 4 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: Parents; Companion- Ray Cooper; Brothers- Raymond Smith, Jim Smith, and Ray Smith.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at the New Beginnings Assembly of God, 1215 N. Neil Solgere Way, Greensburg, Indiana, on Thursday, September 8, 2016, from 4PM – 8PM. Funeral services will also be at the Church, Friday, September 9, 2016 at 11:00 am. Rev. Mike Cunnington will be officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Aerie Cemetery.
