Carol Lynn Whipple

Carol Lynn Whipple, 57, of Greensburg passed away, February 8, 2014, at her residence with her family by her side. She was born, January 17, 1957, in Indianapolis, Indiana the daughter of Raymond and Eloise (Cooke) Clapp. On March 6, 1982, she married Kevin D. Whipple at the First Baptist Church. Carol operated child care out of her home for 22 years, she also worked for Decatur County Bank for 8 years and 4 years at Mainsource as a bank teller. She was a member of the Star Baptist Church of St. Paul. Carol loved watching her grandchildren and cooking family meals for the Sunday dinner.

Survivors include: Husband- Kevin Whipple of Greensburg, Daughters- Lynn M. Whipple of Greensburg, Keri (Ryan) Scudder of Greensburg, Mother- Eloise Clapp, Sisters- Jan (Tom) True of Franklin, Indiana, Cathy Clapp of Jacksonville, Florida, Brother- Richard “Dick” (Sarah) Clapp of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Grandchildren- Macy and Miley Scudder. She was preceded in death by her Father- Raymond Clapp and Infant Sister- Cheryl Clapp.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Gilliland Howe Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at the Star Baptist Church 4019 W. Co. Rd. 650 N. St. Paul, Indiana on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at 10:30 am with Rev. Tom True will be officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to Our Hospice of Decatur County.
