

Charles W. Corbin, 83, of Greensburg, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at the Columbus Regional Hospital. Charles was born on January 20, 1931 in Clarksburg, the son of John and Mattie (Moore) Corbin. After graduating from Clarksburg High School, Charles joined the Air Force and served during the Korean War.
Charles worked for many years as a Sr. Mechanic at Tom Sibbitt Chevrolet in Greensburg. Charles enjoyed all sports, but especially golf. He was a member of the Greensburg Country Club as well as Wyaloosing Creek Golf Course in Letts.
Charles married Dorothy Ann Granger and together they had one daughter Kimberly (Brian Liggett) Vanselow of Columbus, they survive. Other survivors include two grandchildren – Samuel and Alexis Vanselow, one sister Edith Stambaugh and one brother Don Corbin. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Louise Taylor and one brother Lloyd Corbin.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12PM until the start of the Funeral Service 1:30PM at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home with Rev. Jerran Jackson officiating. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Deactur County Bread of Life or to the Wounded Warrior Project.
