Delbert J. Miller

Delbert J. Miller, 71, of St. Paul, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2014. Delbert was born on January 18, 1943, in Batesville, the son of Ralph and Mayme Miller. On April 9, 1960, he married Mary Jo Borgman in Napoleon and she survives.

Other survivors include their two daughters – Marcia (Tim) Kent of Wheatfield, IN and Nancy Miller of Frankfort, IN, his three sisters – Irene Kunz, Ilene Schwier, and Elenor Huey, three granddaughters and one great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Mervin Miller.

Delbert served his county in the United States Navy. After his time in the Navy he worked as a farmer until the 1990’s when he went to work as an automobile salesman for Acra Automotive for 23 years. He was a member of the American Legion and past Commander, and was also a member of the Smyrna Lutheran Church.

A memorial visitation will be held from 4PM – 8PM on Monday, September 29, 2014 at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home. Delbert’s Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, September 30, at 10AM at the Smyrna Lutheran Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or the Smyrna Lutheran Church.
