Karen Sue Moore Howard

Karen Sue Howard, 63 of Greensburg, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at her residence. Karen was born on November 6, 1950 in Liberty, Indiana, the daughter of Frank and Frances Moore. On August 18, 1965, she married William Howard in Brookville and he preceded her in death October 2011. Karen worked as a Registered Nurse at the Fayette Memorial Hospital in Connersville for more than 20 years. She attended the Living Stones Christian Fellowship Church in Greensburg and also enjoyed reading.

Survivors include her mother, her daughter Penny (Kevin) Allen of Davenport, Washington, two sons - Leighton Howard of Lebanon, Indiana, and Bill (Stephanie) Howard of Springfield, Missouri, one brother William Moore, two sisters - Ann (Tom) Dwenger and Sandra Smeal, 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, her husband, two sisters - Jean Hummell and Ruby Hudson and three brothers – Frank, Kenny and James Moore.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2014 from 11am until the time of the funeral service 1PM at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Rossburg Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to her church, Living Stones Christian Fellowship.
