Katherine May Moore

Katherine May Moore, 94, of Greensburg passed away on June 13, 2018. She was born on July 14, 1923 in Rush County, the daughter of Roy and Fairy Smith Lee. Katherine married William E. Moore on October 21, 1940 in Bedford, Kentucky; he preceded her in death on May 7, 1970. She had worked at Randall’s, but had spent most of her life caring for her husband and 5 children as a homemaker. Katherine was a member of the Decatur County Senior Citizens. Survivors include: Daughters- Norma Jean (Paul) Bacon of Upland, IN, Judy Meyer of North Vernon, Barbara (Dale) Scott of Gaylesville, AL, and Bonnie (John) McKay of Columbus; Son- Larry Moore of Marion, IN; Step Brother- Robert White; Several Grandchildren, Step Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and Step Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Husband; Father- Roy Lee; Mother- Fairy Lee White; Infant Son- Howard Eugene Moore; Brother- Elvin Porter Lee; Son in law- John Meyer; Sisters- Jessie Hampton, Norma Wagner, and Rosie Beard; 3 Grandchildren. A Memorial Service for family and friends will be held at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home on June 23, 2018, at 1:00 pm. Rev. John McKay and Dale Scott will be officiating.
