Marilyn J. Carew, 90, formerly of Greensburg, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at the Cumberland Trace Senior Living in Plainfield. Marilyn was born on November 22, 1928 in Lebanon, Ohio, the daughter of Earl and Gertrude (Parker) Keaton. She married Bobby Carew on November 10, 1950 in Shelbyville and he survives.
Other survivors include six children - Jerri (Larry) Grubb of Danville, Phil (Diana) Carew of North Wilkesboro, NC, Dave (Connie) Carew of Pleasant View, Tom (Cheryl) Carew of Avon, Becki (Larry) Cox of Anderson and Steve (Patsianne) Carew of Pelham, AL; two brothers Richard and Joseph Keaton; 17 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren with one more on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Ronald Keaton.
Marilyn enjoyed arts, crafts and sewing. She was a past member of the Lake Santee Women’s Club and was active in church.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, March 8, 2019 from 12PM until the start of the funeral service at 1PM at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Kingston Cemetery in Greensburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kingston Presbyterian Church.
