Nick Scott Spurlin

Nick Spurlin, 19, of Laurel, passed away on July 11, 2020. He was born on August 15, 2000 in Batesville, the son of Scott and Beverly McDivitt Spurlin. Nick was a 2019 graduate of North Decatur High School. He worked for CD&R Components of Greensburg. Nick loved music, playing video games and adored his cousins, niece and nephews. Nick was known for his kindness and caring heart. Survivors include: Parents, Scott and Beverly Spurlin; Grandparents, Paul and Betty McDivitt; Sisters, Elissa Spurlin and Kristin (Jonathan) Maze; Brother, John Russell; Nephews, Aiden and Ian Maze; Niece, Chloe Maze; Aunts, Paula (Doug) Maupin and Cara Geis; Uncle, Chris McDivitt; Cousins, Mackinzie Maupin, Baylie Lakes, Courtney Raver, Kayla Geis, and June Stanley. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents Donald and Beverly Sue Spurlin. A visitation from family and friends, observing CDC precautions will be held at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home on Thursday, July 16, 2020 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. A Facebook Live Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 17, 2020 at 10:00 am Rev. Jerran Jackson will be officiating. Burial will follow.
