Raymond E. Cramer

Raymond E. Cramer, 83, of Greensburg passed away on January 19, 2019. He was born on May 14, 1935 in Decatur County, the son of Edward and Esther Meyer Cramer. Raymond was a 1955 graduate of New Point High School. He served in the United States Army. Ray was very proud to serve his country during the Cold War while he was stationed in Germany. Raymond was a member of the Sandcreek Baptist Church, American Legion Post 129, Eagles, Elks Lodge, Indiana Nursery & Landscaping Association, and the Power of the Past Association. Raymond was the owner of Cramer’s Nursery in Greensburg. He enjoyed boating, antique machinery, and being with friends and family. Survivors include: companion, Annelore “Lori” Phillips; stepchildren, Anne Beagle, Mary Anne (Ron) Kennedy, Joseph Phillips, and Lori Anne (Quinn) Chada; step grandchildren, Paul Beagle, Nicholas Beagle, Edward Beagle, Christopher Bishop, and Nicole Kennedy; 5 great stepgrandchildren; 9 nephews and nieces; and very special friends Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Voland, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Muckerheide, and Mr. and Mrs. Gary Ison. He was preceded in death by: his parents; stepdaughter, Linda Bishop; stepson, Phil G. Beagle; brother, Dale H. Cramer; sisters, Alma I. Budd and Ethel J. Barnes-Bardsley. A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home on Thursday, January 24, 2019 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be Friday, January 25, 2019 at 11:00 am also at the funeral home. Rev. Harold Carter will be officiating. Burial will follow at the South Park Cemetery.
