William E. Baylis

William E. Baylis, 83 of Greensburg, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2020. William was born on December 6, 1936 in Greensburg, the son of Edward and Nellie (Caster) Baylis. He was a 1957 graduate of Greensburg High School. On August 28, 1960 he married Judith Clark at the Bethel Apostolic Church and she preceded him in death on April 3, 2014.
Survivors include his son Edward L. Baylis of Greensburg; his sisters – Ruth Aldrich of Galesburg, IL and Edna Wagner of Greensburg; and his brother Robert (Kay) Baylis of Greensburg. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 53 years; two sons – Mark and William Baylis; one brother Jim Baylis; and his half-sister Mary Baylis.
William worked for Bohn Aluminum for 40 years and was a faithful member of the Bethel Apostolic Church.
Following state guidelines for social distancing and facial coverings, a visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2020 from 4pm – 7pm at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 2pm on Friday, August 28, 2020 at the Bethel Apostolic Church with Rev. Todd Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the South Park Cemetery.
