Christopher Elliot Covault

Christopher Elliot Covault, age 60 of Greenville, Ohio passed away suddenly on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 7:20 PM at Wayne Hospital, Greenville, Ohio. Born in Greenville on March 24, 1962, he was a son to the late Robert & Sydney (Wyan) Covault. Chris worked at Fram Corp in Greenville. Chris had a love for music; he was a great guitarist, and played in the “Freak Show Band" and “2X2”. When he wasn’t playing guitar, you could find him riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, or playing golf. He was a great family man; a wonderful dad, husband, and grandpa who had no enemies, and never met a stranger. He will be deeply missed. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his son Clint Covault.

Survived by his wife of almost 22 years, Shelly (Bourne) Covault, whom he married on July 19, 2000: children Christina Covault; Memphis Payne; Sara Daniels; Samantha & James Richards; Donald Daniels, III: grandchildren Christopher; Austin; Rylie; Haley; Gage; Hayden; Carson; Connor; Ryker; Ella: siblings Kevin Covault; Kelly & Bret Baker: mother-in-law Joann & Mike Anthony: several nieces & nephews: and his “Band Brothers”.

Friends and family are invited to a memorial service on Friday, June 24, 2022 at the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio at 4:00 PM. Pastor Todd Reish will be presiding, and those attending are encouraged to bring memories and stories to share of Chris. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
