Gladys Marion Tweedy, 91 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Thursday October 7, 2021 at 2:50 PM at Ayden Healthcare, Greenville, Ohio. She was born January 25, 1930 in Cumberland, Co. Kentucky, the daughter of the late William C. and Nina P. (Riddle) Cross. Gladys was a homemaker and worked as a waitress in several restaurants in Darke County. She was former member of Assembly of God in Union City. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Bradley Alexander Tweedy; daughter: Connie Claywell; her great grandson: Kyle Cross; her brother: Lolan Cross; her sisters: Pauline Smith, Doris Little, and Edna Seman. She is survived by her sons: Phillip Claywell of Union City, Ohio, Lonnie Claywell of Union City, Indiana; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; and her sister: Georgie Bertram of New Castle, Indiana. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday October 14, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Jeorgene Gaddy officiating.

When I first met Gladys I could tell that she was caring loving person I met her after me and her grandson Brian Claywell got married she immediately made me feel like family I could tell she was from Kentucky that’s where most of my families from and one of the first things she asked me is not to take her grandson from her let her see him anytime she wants I told her she could see him anytime she wanted to I would not take him away from her she was a lot like my grandma my grandma raised I call her mom that is the one that Gladys reminds me of I will miss Gladys a lot but I also know where she is and I praise God for that

She was a wonderful grandmother. She was a good cook. She was a Godly woman who love God very much. She will be greatly missed.
