He is survived by his sister, Vicky (Thomas Tomasovic) Besecker Rifenberg; his niece, Kelly Pendley; great niece, Taylor Roof; great nephew, Noah Pendley; and great-greats Ryder and Reese Vickers; several uncles and aunts, and numerous extended family members and friends.
Jimmy was a 1966 graduate of Greenville High School where he was active in many sports and school activities. He graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Education. After college, he worked for AAA and for 27 years at the Greenville Advocate in sales. He was a member of the Greenville First United Methodist Church. Jimmy was a sports fanatic, loving to watch and listen to any game. His favorite teams were undoubtedly the Cincinnati Reds, the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Greenville Green Wave.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
