I worked with John at Eikenberry's and then at Meijer. He was a good friend and mentor. After he left Meijer for other ventures our paths would cross and John would stop and talk to me and my family as though no time had passed. My family and I are praying for Barb and the Fletcher family. John will surely be missed.

I played baseball for John as a kid. He was the best coach. He always cared about us kids. Win or lose we left the field with his support and he always told us how proud he was of us. Years after playing for him I’d see him in the grocery. He always stopped to talk to us and ask about how we were doing. Great guy, may he Rest In Peace.

I'm so sorry to hear about John's passing. We have such good memories about the holidays and the volleyball parties. The New Years eve fondue parties where we all brought the new year in with friends together are very special. I will never forget the friendship we shared and the good time we had.
