Larry D. Hughes

Larry Daniel Hughes, of Winchester, Indiana, passed suddenly from this life to his eternal reward on the evening of November 18, 2014. He was 55 years of age. He was born in Bedford, Indiana on October 17, 1959, to the parents of Theodore and Shirley Hughes. His siblings includes one brother and two sisters: Stephen and wife (Deborah Hughes) of Chicago, Illinois; Ronna and husband (Steve Craig) of Bedford, Indiana; Renee and husband (DeWayne Joslin) of Selma, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Earl and Ila Hughes and his maternal grandparents, Alfred and Thelma Smith.

He met Rebecca Sue Denton, in Newark, Ohio and they were married June 20, 1981. To this union they had 6 children Michael, Christopher, Gina, Sean, Elizabeth and Nathan.

In 1992, he and his family took their stand with the Church of God and he remained faithful to the end.

Bro. Dan faithfully assisted for many years in various aspects of the Gospel Trumpet work. His presence and his administrative skills, so much depended upon, will be much missed. He readily made himself available to help all the saints.

He loved his family and did what he could to be there for them. He was a wonderful grandfather to Jeffrey and Savanna and loved them dearly. He desired strongly to see all of his loved ones saved, especially his children. He will be greatly missed.

Services will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of God meeting house, 5065 State Route 49 S., Greenville, Ohio, with Brother Randall Hargrave officiating. Family will receive friends at the meeting house from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Church of God cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio.
