Robert was born June 19, 1954, at Camp Stoneman in Pittsburg, California to the late William & Janine Higgins. In addition to his parents, Robert was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Higgins.
Robert is survived by his companion, Rheta Best; sister, Ethel Higgins; and his beloved pets, Shorty, Lucky and Tom e cat.
Robert served 6 years in the U.S. Army where he was an Air Traffic Controller in Salinas, Monterey and Concord, California. Robert was a retired real estate agent.
A private graveside service will be held in the Ansonia Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ansonia Rescue in Robert’s memory. Arrangements are under the direction of Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville.
