Tammie was born March 27, 1972, in San Diego, California, to Patricia Ann (Bray) & Duane Hinkle. In addition to her mother & stepfather, Tammie is also survived by her adoptive mother, Faye Abernathy; husband, Terry Coffey whom she married June 8, 2018; children, Nicholas Benavidez, Shelby Cassity, Jeffrey Thornton III & Whitney Sells; grandson, Rowan Garman; sisters, Krystal & Chad Barber and Sara & Jerame Painter; her dog, Pearl; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Tammie is preceded in death by her adoptive father, Joe Abernathy.
Tammie was a 1991 graduate of Greenville High School and later graduated from Carousel Beauty College. She was an instructor at Miami-Jacobs College.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville followed by an entombment service at Greenville Union Cemetery Mausoleum.
