I am so sorry for your loss.  My husband, Dan Berger, enjoyed your dad so much as they shared a deep love of gardening.  Your folks would stop by our home on Beanblossom to check on us and bring us garden goodies from time to time.  Your dad was a special man and will be missed.  May God comfort you all during this time of saddness. My love and prayers for your mom as she grieves.

My deepest condolences on Verl’s passing. I had the chance to view the tribute video to Verl and see all the beautiful photos so filled with joy. One thing was abundantly clear-Verl was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, gardener and friend to so many, including my family. My childhood memories are full of happy times spent with the Sharps. Verl will truly be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May God grant you comfort and peace with each reminder of Verl’s lasting legacy. 

I styled Harriet's hair for years,Verl always by her side bringing her to get her weekly sets,he would always bring me his great tomatoes plants as well as other produce,he even made barns for my grandkids and I still put a log cabin bird feeder out that he made me  to enjoy the birds in the winter he will be missed love ya Verl

Grandpa, I love and miss you so much. You were such a hard working man,  when grandma used to watch Us I always remember the excitement of you getting off work., Carrying your black lunch box and then you would come in sit for a bit, took your hand and ran it across our noses ( it drove me nuts) and outside you went. The constant support in our sports cheering us on. And the constant jokes and lil Knick nax that you would make or come across. Your yard and garden always looked amazing and we always knew right where to find you, your garden. You were the rock of the family. I will miss the anticipation of going to the fair seeing you at the horse races, the times we spent at car shows when we were younger. I remember the time you guys watched us on a weekend and my dog russle broke the door to the kitchen when we left to go shopping and I cried when I seen him standing there with the door in pieces thinking my parents would get rid of him, you came to the bathroom and reassured me he wouldn’t let that happen. Most of all I remember the love you had for my kids. You always made sure to welcome them when they entered your house, you accepted there hugs and listened to there stories. You touched zoies heart when the last time we visited you, she told you she got first place for cheer at the fair, you told her how proud of her you were of her, and to not give up that she would make a great cheerleader, well,  she did just that, she got first place at the school you were inducted into the hall of fame at. Your home felt like my home. As my heart aches  I know you are at peace and you will be with us always. My family has a guardian angel who will always be there. I love you grandpa!! 

Our deepest sympathy to Harriet and girls.  Verl was a good man and I have often thought of him these past many years.  Many times I reflected on his kindness as a kid growing up on White Springs Drive.  I have enjoyed sharing many stories of our two families with my wife.  Always brings a smile to my heart.  May he rest in peace.  May each of you find comfort.

He was my father, my friend, my hero.I feel so lost without him in my life.He was a awesome grandpa and great grandpa. My grandkids will miss him terribly.  I wish with all my heart that he was still here but happy that  he is without pain and suffering and he is home.. Fly High Pops! I will love you and remember  you forever. Rest in peace! And remember  to show me those little signs that we talked about. Love you always!
