Services will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2016, at 1:30pm at John Knox Presbyterian Church.
Alaina was born in Danville, Illinois on April 5, 1999, and she was the daughter of Lynn Elizabeth Reif and Penny and Dave Rogers.
She was a talented pianist and soccer player and a joy to friends and family.
Alaina deeply loved her sister, Hanah; her cousins, Sara Kate, Xan and Mac; her BFF, Kalyn and not to be forgotten, her dog, Cookie.
Alaina was an eleventh grader who hoped to attend College of Charleston after graduation. She volunteered at Washington Center; participated in a mission trip to Eleuthera; and loved travel to all destinations. The beach was a favorite of hers, as was snow skiing, but she most liked reading and spending time with friends. Although Alaina’s short life did not allow time for her to fully develop her talents, she had many. She will be missed, loved and remembered forever as the gift to her family she was and as a treasure for which they are grateful.
Burial at Graceland East Cemetery will follow the service at the church, and friends and family are invited back to the home at the conclusion of services.
In lieu of flowers, it is asked that donations be made to Washington Center’s nature trail.
