We so loved Bernard’s sweet disposition and his love for Vicky. He was always so gentle and kind, and so adorable how he and Vicky would coordinate their clothes when they went out. Bernard will be dearly missed.

As a young child I spend a lot of time at my Grandmothers with Uncle Bernard. He’s the one who ensured we made it to Sunday School and taught us about Jesus Christ. Since I am unable to make it to the service I will be joining through the live stream. My love, prayers and condolences to Vickey. Love Annette Thompson-Fain

I have very fond memories of sitting next to Bernard and Vicky on the back row at Mount Calvary Baptist Church.
He had a wonderful sense of humor. Even seeing him in the hospital or at home in bed, he displayed grace and humor.
We are thankful for the privilege to call him a friend!

What a family friend and prayer warrior for us through the years we knew him, from the time we were neighbors in 2001 to the present. It was truly like having another grandpa for our children. Our heart felt sympathies to you Vicky. We praise the Lord for Bernard's testimony and love for the Lord whom he loved more than even you or his fried chicken!
Though we sorrow, we rejoice that his struggle is over, and that we will see him again.
