She earned both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in social work, later continuing her service as a Registered Nurse. Throughout her career, including many years with Spartanburg Probation and Parole, she was known for her compassion, dedication, and unwavering commitment to helping those in need.
Beyond her professional life, Betty found joy in painting and reading, and she carried a nurturing spirit into every aspect of her life. Above all, Betty was a devoted mother. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Sheriff, whom she loved deeply. Betty worked tirelessly to provide opportunities for Susan, including a private school education in Charleston, reflecting her enduring commitment to her daughter’s future and well-being.
Betty will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and generous heart. Her legacy of compassion and service will live on in the lives she touched.
