Carol G. Bailey

Mrs. Bailey, a devoted wife and mother, was born September 3, 1939, in Narberth, Pa., to Samuel Joseph Grow and Caroline Christine Sheller Grow. She was raised in Narberth, Pa., moving to South Carolina in 1970. She also lived in Arlington, Tx., Lancaster, Pa., and Fredericksburg, Va. She is a graduate of Temple University in Philadelphia, Pa and Limestone University in Gaffney, Sc. She served as an accountant for Lowndes Industries, Bigelow-Sandford Carpets, Shaw Industries Group, and Armstrong World Industries. Following her retirement she returned to the Greenville area in 1995.

She is predeceased by her parents, her loving husband of 41 years, Robert L. Bailey, Sr., a daughter Holly A. Richardson, a great grandson David Everette Richardson, and her two brothers, Charles J. Grow (Dillsburg, Pa.) and Paul F. Grow (Havertown, Pa.). She is survived by one daughter, Michelle of Mastic Beach, Ny., sons, Robert Jr. of Marietta, Sc, and Bryan of Greer, Sc.; seven grandchildren, Christopher Bailey (Katie), Christeena Gantt (Andrew), Robert Bailey III (Faeren), Hope Sikkila (Brian), Carrie Bird (Zachary), Skylar and Amber Bailey; as well as 14 great-grandchildren Logan, James, Julian, Raylen, Turner, Gracie, Kydan, Brantley, Evelyn, Adalyn, Ryland, MacKinley, Liam, and Annelise.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Highland Baptist Church, 3270 Highway 414, Taylors, SC with interment following at the church cemetery.
