Carol Ann Corley

Carol Ann Peters Corley passed away peacefully in her sleep early Monday morning October 21, 2019. She is very loved and will be sorely missed by her surviving children: Hope Ann Dize, Elizabeth Lee Williams and T.R. Pryse Evans all from Greenville, and her many beloved grandchildren, her siblings and many extended family members.

She was a graduate of John Adams High School in Indiana and attended Indiana University majoring in visual arts. Her early years of marriage were spent abroad with her first husband during his service in the Army. Upon returning to the states she devoted her life to serving her family and her community where ever she resided. Settling in Greenville, SC, she continued to devote her time and many talents by tutoring in her children's school, chaperoning on field trips and being elected PTA President. She also was supportive of all their school programs and many athletic activities and associated fundraisers. Her greatest joy was becoming a Girl Scout leader which she maintained for fourteen years, she also supported the Boy Scouts, Troup 11 for many years, helping to enrich the lives of many young children.

This same devotion transferred into her career choices and she worked diligently in customer service positions in businesses throughout the community. It was her goal to make people happy and treated each person with respect. She was very active in her church, as well as the woman's organization PEO, Chapter H. She continued throughout her life assisting other organizations for those in need. During the last thirty years of her life, she was a devoted wife to Aaron Lemet Corley until his passing in 2015. She remained a loving mother, grandmother, and friend right to the end.

Celebration of Life and Internment will be held at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, Greenville at two o’clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, November 5, 2019.
