Growing up with Mr. Dale as an Awana teacher was amazing. I have so many memories its hard to just say one.
One that stands out and it may be simple but was how we used to meet up every so often to clean Fairview Street Baptist Church. Me, Dale, and Allie usually were on a team together and we played music and cleaned. Mr. Dale used to always pay for us at Ryan's after we'd finish. He never wanted to be repaid. 
He used to let us pick music to play and one particular time I picked "Carmen" 
And I remember him saying "How do you know about this old music?"
I loved Mr. Dale, he was a mentor, a friend, and a blessing to have known.

Dale was an incredible father to me. We never liked to use the word in law. He was my family and the closest to ever having a normal dad he was my adoptive dad. When ever I needed help with his grand boys he was ALWAYS there. He never missed a beat when it came to the boys and making sure he had a great relationship with them. Jonah was the closest to him and I loved the relationship he had with him. How he could talk to Jonah and help him understand the Bible and how important God was in our lives. His relationship with Jacob was a great relationship as well specially when Jake was in and out of NICU all the time Dale was there. If he couldn't be at the hospital he was on the phone with me checking to make sure Jacob was OK. Whenever I needed help or advice about the boys he gave me unbiased God fearing love and the confidence I needed to help deal with the situation. I loved how amazing his love for Jesus was. How he could talk about the Bible with me and help me understand Jesus' word. He loved God, his family including the church family, and his friends. He was always encouraging us on so many en devours. Dale you will be greatly missed and this void in my heart will take time to heal! The boys have gained a phenomenal guardian angel watch over them and guide them please. We love you and will miss you so much!
