OBITUARY

Delores "Athy" Pfeiffer

18 August, 1952 – 5 February, 2026
IN THE CARE OF

Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Delores Atholene (Athy) Pfeiffer, 73, of Taylors, SC, and formerly of Findlay, Ohio. She passed away peacefully at home on February 5th.

Athy was full of humor and never met a stranger; her laugh and smile were second to none. Her vibrant and welcoming spirit touched everyone she knew. In her younger years, this charisma shone brightly as she worked as a flight attendant for United Airlines and was a former beauty pageant winner, earning the Miss Congeniality prize.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years, David Pfeiffer. She was a loving mother to her three children: Courtney (Mark), Jeff (Melanie), and Lindsay (Chris). Athy's greatest treasures were her seven adored grandsons: Jackson (24), Evan (21), Carter (20), Harrison (20), Brooks (16), Rush (8), and Ford (3). She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Bill Kelly, brother-in-law Tim and Terrie Pfeiffer (FL), and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly, including Billy and Tony.

Athy was preceded in death by her parents, James and Maxine Helton of Ohio, and her sisters, Patti and Jeannie.

A faithful member of Piedmont Park Baptist Church, Athy found great joy in planting flowers and would volunteer whenever and wherever she was needed. Her legacy of kindness, warmth, and devotion to her family will be cherished forever.

With great gratitude, her family thanks Freedom Home Care and VIA Health Partners Hospice for their compassionate care and support.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Piedmont Park Baptist Church at www.piedmontparkbaptistchurch.org.
