Dennis D. Davidson

Dennis D. Davidson, of Simpsonville, South Carolina, passed away on May 20, 2026, at the age of 82. Born on June 16, 1943, in Mishawaka, Indiana, Dennis was the son of James K. Davidson and Evelyn Claeys Davidson.

Dennis was a devoted family man whose kindness, loyalty, and steady presence touched the lives of many. He treasured the lifelong friendships he built over the years and never met a stranger. His love was evident in the way he stayed connected to those he cared about throughout his life.

A passionate sports fan, Dennis faithfully followed the Atlanta Braves and Notre Dame athletics, rarely missing an opportunity to cheer on his favorite teams. He also maintained a lifelong pride in his hometown and especially enjoyed keeping up with the sports programs at his alma mater, Mishawaka High School.

Dennis had a deep appreciation of Corvettes and considered himself an aficionado. He found happiness in life’s simple pleasures of the beach and sitting on his front porch.

Dennis is survived by his wife Lynette Davidson and their three children Brian Davidson, Ben Davidson (Kristin), and Jennifer Davidson Capell (Scott). Also left to cherish his memory are his grandchildren: Max, Molly, Charlie, Matthew, Riley, Katie, Thomas, Garrett, and Ashlynn; and great-grandchild Finan.

Dennis will be honored with a visitation at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609, on May 29, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:15 pm, followed by a funeral service at the same location beginning at 2:30 pm.
