Doris "Jerry" Geraldine Birx

Jerry was a proud graduate of Parker High School. She went on to work as an accountant, dedicating many years of service to the Greenville Sewer Authority and the John Deere Company.

A woman of deep faith and many interests, Jerry loved to sing and joyfully shared her talents as a member of the choir at Reedy Fork Baptist Church. She especially enjoyed singing gospel music, reading history books, and collecting old coins of all kinds.

Left to cherish Jerry’s memory is her daughter, Karen Moseley of Fountain Inn, South Carolina; her three grandchildren, Harrison Birx, Ethan Birx, and Chandler Birx; and her two great-grandchildren, Mira Birx and Elsa Birx. She is also lovingly remembered by several nephews and a niece who held a special place in her heart.

Jerry was predeceased by her husband Regis (Jack) Fredrick Birx, a son Roger Alan Birx, her parents Otha and Anne Stairley, and siblings Roger Stairley and Becky Owens.

Visitation for Jerry will be held at Mackey Funerals & Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive Greenville SC 29609, on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 from 5pm until 7pm. A funeral service will be held the following day, Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Reedy Fork Baptist Church, 459 Reedy Fork Road Greenville SC 29605. A mausoleum entombment will follow the service at 1pm at Greenville Memorial Gardens, 7784 Augusta Rd, Piedmont, SC 29673.
