

Mauldin – Efrain Navarro, 49, of Mauldin died September 28, 2021 at Prisma Greenville Memorial Hospital from complications of COVID. He was born in New Laredo, Mexico the son of Fausto and Betty Lafuente Navarro.
Efrain graduated from Texas City High School in 1990 and went on to earn his Associates Degree from the Art Institute of Houston.
Efrain earned his pilot’s license at the age of 15 at Galv Areo in Galveston, Tx. There was no keeping him away from planes from that moment once he had his pilot’s license. He loved cooking, grilling, music and taking care of his family and friends. He also had a great love and being involved with Mauldin High School Band in any capacity needed. He was and will be loved and respected by his peers for his wisdom, heart and gentle spirit.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Beatriz and Baldomero LaFuente and Jovita and Efrain Navarro.
He is survived by his parents, Fausto and Betty Navarro of Texas City, TX, his wife, Angela Brown Navarro , his sons, Jarod and Joshua Navarro all of the home. Two sisters, Laura Carmona and husband Victor of Deer Park, TX and Sara Navarro of Texas City, TX, a brother, Sam Navarro of Sante Fe, TX. He is also survived by his nieces, Ely Camacho, Ashlyn Navarro, Chloe, Chelsea and Chylee Carmona all of Texas. A nephew, Trajan Brown of Holland, MI. Efrain leaves a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends to cherish his memory.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 10, 2021 from 12:00 PM – 1:45 PM, with a funeral service at 2:00 PM at Mackey Funerals & Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Dr., Greenville, SC. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
