Esther married the late Harry Clay Presher and was a devoted wife and supporter of his career at Mackey Mortuary. As an active member at Overbrook Baptist Church she taught Sunday school and spent much time visiting with the elderly. She loved her family fiercely and her joy was contagious.
She is survived by her sons: H. Clay Presher, Jr. (Susan) and Richard Dial Presher (Christie) both of Greenville, SC. Granddaughters: Virginia Armstrong Finn (Brandon) and Amelia “Amy” Susan Presher. Great grandchildren: Esther Hazel Finn and Turner Hayes Finn.
In addition to her husband, Esther was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Charles Armstrong, Louise Hodder, Dorothy Vela, Eleanor Wood, Marjorie Chamberlain, Verdin Armstrong, Donald Armstrong, Rachel Armstrong, Rodney Armstrong, and Wendell Armstrong.
Visitation will be held 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm at Mackey Mortuary in Greenville, SC on Monday August 22, 2022. A graveside service will be held at Fairview Presbyterian Church in Fountain Inn, SC on Tuesday August 23, 2022 at 2:00 pm.
