Evelyn was the daughter of the late Everett A. Dawson and the late Lilliebel Carpenter Dawson. She was also predeceased by her husband of 75 years, Vernie Lee Morse, Jr.
She is survived by her four children, Everett Wayne Morse (Cindy), Vernie Joe Morse, Sr. (Maggie), Thomas Stephen Morse, Sr. (Brenda), and Judy Gayle Tanner (Ron). Evelyn is also survived by nine grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and her sister, Lou Alice Flattmann. Evelyn was predeceased by a sister, Ouita Mae Dobbins and a brother, Carroll Thomas Dawson.
She was a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church.
Friends and family are invited to attend the funeral service at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Dr. Greenville, SC 29609 at 12:00 on Wednesday, July 30 with visitation at 11:00.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Missions Ministry at Brushy Creek Baptist Church, Taylors, SC.
