Frances Hunter Treadway of Greenville, South Carolina passed away on March 11, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Robert Wilson Hunter and Frances Looper Hunter. Frances graduated from Greenville Senior High School and attended Brenau Women's College. She earned a master's degree in education from Converse College. She taught in Greenville County Schools for over 30 years.
She was a member of First Baptist Church Greenville and a member of Hessie Morrah Garden Club, Chapter '76 Book Club and the Debutante Club of Greenville. She was predeceased in death by brother's; Robert Wilson Hunter, Jr., William Looper Hunter, and John Mills Hunter. She is survived by her daughter Hunter Fridy (Martin), a son Arthur Miller Treadway, grandchildren; Camilla, Thomas and Charlotte Fridy, all of Greenville and numerous nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
A funeral service will be held today at 3:30 PM on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Mackey funerals and Cremation at Century Drive. Visitation will be prior to service from 2:00 PM to 3:15 PM. A private burial will follow at Springwood Cemetery at a later date.
