Frances Ligon Watson, wife of the late Eugene Bailey Watson, died February 6, 2015 at McCall Hospice House. A native of Greenville, SC, she was born October 10, 1917. She was the daughter of the late Robert Henry Ligon and Julia Burns Ligon. Mrs. Watson was predeceased by her sisters Margaret L. Gilliam and Kathryn Ligon. She is survived by her sons Eugene B. Watson, Jr. (Margaret), Robert N. Watson (Elizabeth), Edward H. Watson; grandchildren, Lauren Van Besien, David Watson (Anita), Stephen Watson, Auby Watson, Kathryn Watson and Julia Watson; and six great grandchildren. She was a graduate of Greenville High School and attended both Winthrop College and Greenville Women’s College. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 2:00pm at Springwood Cemetery. Frances was beloved by her family and friends and she loved them in return.
