Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Clifford Lee and Macie Barnett Deadwyler.
Gladys retired from the automotive industry after a long productive career in bookkeeping. She was an active member of a National Business Women’s Sorority and held various positions. She was a lifelong member of Pendleton Street Baptist Church.
Surviving are her brother, Robert H. Deadwyler, of Duncan and her nephew William L. Hicks, Jr., of Greer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Florence Lee Hicks.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 2:00pm at The Mackey Mortuary.
Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon from 1:00 – 1:45pm at the mortuary.
