He is survived by his sons Robert and Steven Laster and many nieces and nephews.
Ivonne was born in Germany as her father was in the Army and stationed there during that time. She was the daughter of Ruben and Gloria Zapata.
She is survived by her siblings, Mildred Cruz, Gloria McCracken, Erick Zapata, and Wanda Zapata. Also, by her two step-sons Robert and Steven Laster. She had many nieces and nephews who loved her as a second mother, both here in the US and in Puerto Rico.
Ivonne and Gary are a couple that have touched many lives. Not only family but also friends. They were very giving, very loving and will be missed by all that knew them.
A memorial service will be held at 3pm Thursday, September 8, 2016 in the Chapel of the Mackey Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society since Ivonne loved animals so much.
