Jacoba was a very strong, independent woman who never gave up and never met a stranger. She would do anything for anyone; her capacity to care and love were unmatched. Everyone was drawn to her charming nature, and she returned the favor with endless love. She absolutely cherished her family and friends. She was also an animal lover and flower whisperer.
A wonderful woman who adored her children, Jacoba is survived by daughters Charlene (Charli) de Jong and Catherine De Jong Gentry; sons Harry De Jong and Johan C. De Jong; grandchildren Gabriela, Sam, Johan, Ashley, and Nicholas; and her great- grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, John A. De Jong, and daughter, Monica De Jong Valipour.
A graveside service for Jacoba will be held Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609 at 9:00 AM.
