

Born July 8th, 1934, in Olean, New York, he was the son of James & Edith Cady. He honorably served his country, and was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
Jim graduated from Alfred State University in New York with an associate’s degree in mechanical engineering.
He retired as a Quality Control Engineer in the Automotive Industry. He also served as “the family photographer” at countless family gatherings. He was a master storyteller and always had a story to share. His passions were military history, mechanical projects, tinkering with cars and engines and gardening.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Jeannine Cady, his son Kevin and his wife Kristie of Piedmont, SC, and a son, James William, and daughter, Denise along with his sister Betty Webb and brother Don Cady of Richburg, New York. Jim also had many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, James & Edith Cady, a sister Linda Ayers, and brother Richard Cady.
Funeral services with military honors will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026 at Mauldin Methodist Church located at 100 Butler Rd in Mauldin, SC. Visitation begins at 1:00 pm followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm. Burial will be in the church cemetery immediately following the service
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation.
