He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Regina G. Howard and his parents, Roy R. Howard and Eula Howard Maloney.

Jim was a graduate of Auburn University, and he also served in the Army Reserves for many years as a young professional.
Jim worked as an electrical engineer for several major industry leaders including Boeing, Texas Instruments and Martin Marietta, as well as several local engineering firms, either as an employee or a contractor. He retired multiple times but was drawn back into engineering as opportunities arose. He enjoyed the challenges of his profession.
As a longtime and faithful member of Morningside Baptist Church, one of his greatest joys was singing praises to the Lord in the choir. He also willingly served as a deacon whenever invited to do so. He and his wife, Regina, had big hearts for ministry and they eagerly took on or gave to projects here and abroad as the Lord led them.
Jim’s quick wit, big smile, and generous spirit will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
