He is survived by his parents Joel Bates Barker and Loretta Grace Newcomer, and his younger siblings Ethan (16), Sophia (13) and Mahleah (6). Also surviving are his grandparents Tom & Janet Newcomer of Washington State and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Jared was currently a student at Wade Hampton High School after completing years of schooling at Hampton Park Christian School, Lake Forest Elementary and Sevier Middle School. He also attended Trinity Bible Church in Greer, SC.
He leaves a big hole in the hearts of all who knew him and his parents thank the Lord for the nearly 18 years that they got to have Jared in their family on this earth.

The funeral will be at Trinity Bible Church in Greer, SC on Saturday February 6th, 2021 at 11 a.m., followed by a graveside service for the immediate family at Woodlawn Memorial Park, where he will be interred. For those unable to attend the funeral in person, it will be streamed at Trinity Bible Church YouTube channel
