Johannes Ernst Tauber

Johannes Tauber Mauldin Hans Tauber passed away on Thursday, Feb. 5 at age 81. A beloved husband, father and Opa, he will be missed. Hans was a devoted and loving husband to his “Rose” Elisabeth for 44 years. He was richly blessed with two daughters, Beatrice and Anita, who loved him beyond measure. He was the world’s greatest Opa to his two grandchildren, Melania and Hudson. His son-in law, Heath has eternal gratitude for being embraced as a real son. He always had an encouraging word and smile for his many nieces and nephews. Hans was the oldest brother of 8 children, born to Willy Ernst Tauber and Frieda Orlich Tauber on June 2, 1933, in Leer, Germany. Hans is survived by his brothers Willy, Wilfried and Walter and sister Rahel. He was predeceased by his twin brother, Franz, brother Helmut and sister Dora. The Patriarch of the Tauber family, Hans leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, perseverance, faith and an eternal hope that we should never fear or despair but walk with the Lord. He set the example on being a true man of God. He taught his children how to pray, he never wavered or faltered but always leaned on his friend and Savior. He now is in a place of quiet rest, a place of comfort sweet, a place where all is joy and peace – near to the Heart of God. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, February 10, 2014 at Greenville Seventh-day Adventist Church. Burial will be 3:30 pm Tuesday in Northlake Memorial Gardens, Huntersville, NC.
