Jonathan Rhett Corbett, our “gracious gift from God”, was welcomed into the arms of his and our Savior Jesus Christ on February 9, 2017. Rhett touched many lives in his short five months. He was a happy, easy-going baby with a curiosity for the world around him. He wanted to see and experience everything, and he was hardly ever without a smile. His two sisters, Bailee and Mackendrick, adopted him as their own little doll baby, dressing him up and including him in their imaginative play, and Rhett was happy to go along. He thought the world of his sisters; you could see it because his face lit up when they were around.
Rhett is survived by his loving parents, Jordan and Annie Corbett; his big sisters, Bailee and Mackendrick Corbett; his grandparents, Jon and Debbie Peery, and Mike and Rhonda Corbett; his great-grandparents, Jim and Naomi Deuink, Edna Peery, George and Jean Groff, and Larry and Nancy Corbett; and numerous devoted aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Rhett is predeceased by his great-grandfather, Jim Peery.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Hampton Park Baptist Church on Monday, February 13th at 11am. A visitation will be held one hour prior from 10:00 – 10:45am with a burial to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Hampton Park Baptist Church Nursery Project, 875 State Park Rd, Greenville, SC 29609.
