It was an honor for him to serve his country in the Army Medical Service Corp in Vietnam from 1968 -1969. After returning he graduated from MUSC in 1974 and began his residency at Greenville Hospital System.
Often he could be found on the tennis court sharing his love for the game. One of his greatest joys was to serve his patients in the Mauldin area for 36 years, retiring in June of 2013. Duncan enjoyed most of all meeting people where they were and helping them on their journey.
