

Judie was born February 26, 1947 to the late Edward Eugene and Dorothy Fortner Porter in Greenville, South Carolina. She attended Greenville High School and Winthrop College. She spent her career as a medical insurance administrator for several physicians. She volunteered with Guardian Ad Litem of Greenville County.
Throughout her life, Judie had a strong desire to aid those who could not provide food for themselves, following the example set by her mother and "Granny." She was a woman of strong faith and a member of Earle Street Baptist Church. In her younger days, she enjoyed playing hand bells and singing in the choir at her home church, Pendleton Street Baptist.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son Kenneth Ashley Troutman Jr. (Rebecca) and their two children, Zander and Elizabeth, a sister Mary Beth Carroll (Hugh), 20 nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Edward Eugene Porter, Jr. (Phyllis).
Arrangements are pending and will be updated accordingly for a memorial service at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Dr. Greenville, SC, 29607. The family will have a private burial.
