I could not believe this. It was shocking enough to find out the kid went to school with my daughter, but when I found out the mom was the nice lady I had become friends with that was a customer at the store I worked, My jaw hit the floor. Never in my wildest dreams thought something this terrible would happen to her, much less anybody I knew. She always would ask how I was & actually cared what was going on in my life, and left me inspired by her encouraging words & positive outlook. Even during her throat surgery problems she was always cheerful.She inspired me everytime I seen her. She most definitely will be missed.

Oh such sad news, I worked a temp job with Kathy at the Post Office. She took me under her wing and taught me how things operated. I enjoyed the time that I got to spend with her there. She was always so sweet to everyone who crossed her path. She was a dedicated Christian lady. I know she is one of God's new Angels for sure. Some things only God understands for I have no answers to such a tragedy. She was loved by many and will truly be missed.

Kathy was our customer at Allstate (The Shannon Harvey Agency).  I spoke with her often on her insurance and always enjoyed our conversations.  She was a very sweet lady.  My prayers go out to the family during this tragedy.

Kathy was my yearbook director in highschool and my sister's teacher at MGM in Phoenix, Arizona. We both were married about the same time and moved to Greenville,SC where we became good close friends. I babysat all three of her children for years.  Kathy was always talking about the Lord and looking for opportunities to share her faith.  Through good times and hard times she trusted the Lord. For Kathy her children were her life, she truly loved them.  I am going to miss her and that wonderful laugh of hers. Debbie, Daniel and Joshua my prayers are with you.

Kathy was my son's first grade teacher.  I think it was her first teaching assignment (Mexican Gospel Mission Christian School in Phoenix, AZ) after graduating from Bob Jones University.  The next year she was assigned to teach 5th grade and my daughter was in her class. We loved her and thought the world of her.  We missed her when she left.  My heart goes out to family, friends and all who knew her.

I am so sorry for the family's loss especially given the circumstances. It has been many years since we last saw each other but my prayers are with the family. May the Lord give grace and comfort.

It is very hard to wrap my mind around this tragidy.  I babysat Kathy's children for quite a while when they were small.  My daughter Rachel did also.  I do pray God will use this to speak to all of our hearts to count everyday as a blessing from God.  May we thank Him for His grace and mercy He gave us at Calvary.  May we share the same love. Know that I think of you dear children and bear you up in prayer.  You are not alone.

I am very sorry for your loss. We don't understand why bad things happen and it is hard to accept. But we are not in control of our lives and not promised tomorrow. There is hope for all of us as God has promised.
Romans 8: For I consider the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us. 
2 Cor 4: For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison. While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are external.

I didnt know Kathy very well but I do know the kids.I am praying for Joy and Daniel will find peace in these troubling times.Only God knows why all this happened.What I knew of Kathy was that she was a very kindhearted lady.Thank the Lord I will see her again.

Kathy was my friend. She visited in my home frequently during the time that she was a member of the Sunday School Class that I taught. Kathy studied the Word of God and was well versed on many subjects, but  most of all she was saved and knew the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour. She would want her family to know that she is safe with Jesus. I am sure that now her heart's desire is that one day she will be reunited with her loved ones. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. I know their heart is hurting, but God is the God of all comfort, and will comfort and bring healing to all who seek Him.  "Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;"(2 Corinthians 1:3)

Kathy. will be missed dearly at work.  She was always talking and keeping us happy.  I will miss her wave when I walk by where she worked.  My prayers go out to her family.

I'm so sorry for your loss! I can't imagine the pain you may be feeling or the emotion that you may be going through! My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family, may God see you and your family through! Just believe and know that this is not the end it is only the beginning! Be Blessed.

Kathy will surely be missed by her co workers here at the Greenville P&DC. I worked with Kathy years ago.  Lately, I would only see her in the mornings when she was leaving and I was coming in.  But she usually had a big smile on her face.  I'm praying that God will carry you through this most difficult time.

I worked closely with Kathy for many years. I could say so many things about her, but two things come to mind first; Kathy was kind-hearted and compassionate to all, and Kathy LOVED her kids. She was like a mama bear protecting her cubs. Even now, I know that her thoughts would be first and foremost about the well-being of all three of her children. Joy, Daniel, and Joshua, I hope that knowing so many people thought your mom was a bright ray of sunshine will bring you peace and comfort. Know that she will definitely be missed by all of us who knew her but never forgotten.
