Mac was born on June 22, 1942, in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee to Robert Terry Little and Winnie Little (nee Harper), where he grew up and attended grade school. He attended the University of Tennessee, graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and completing the Army ROTC program. After graduation he began his commitment to the U. S. Army, serving the last year in Viet Nam.
Upon discharge from the army, Mac began work as a mechanical engineer. His work brought him to Greenville, S.C. in 1970 and he retired from BP Corp. in 1999. Outside of work he enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and sports.
Mac was always a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be sorely missed.
Mac is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Mary Little; son Steven Little; and daughter Melanie Othersen (Claus Jr.). In addition, he is survived by four grandchildren: Frances Othersen-Merritt (John), Cecilia Othersen Shutts (Austin), Claus Othersen III (Catherine) and Ethan Othersen; and four great-grandchildren: Krys, Jacob, Emma, and Diana. He is also survived by his brother Terry Little (Rosie).
A graveside service for Mac will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 26th, at Woodlawn Memorial Park's Remembrance Mausoleum Chapel, 1901 Wade Hampton Blvd, Greenville, SC 29609.
