Louise was born October 21, 1930 to the late Dr. and Mrs. George Copeland Albright. She graduated from Greenville High School and attended Converse College. She was an active member of Buncombe Street United Methodist Church until her later years.
Louise married Kirby Jernigan Quinn, Jr. on February 5, 1947. They had two daughters, Louise (Lucy) Albright Quinn and Linda Caroline Quinn.
Louise was very active in the community. She did extensive volunteer work for many years with The Greenville Junior League. She was a member of The Debutante Club, the Poinsett Club, and the Greenville Country Club. In 1967 Louise and Kirby established Town House Galleries, Inc., an interior design and retail furniture business in downtown Greenville. Louise was a well-known, exceptionally talented interior designer with clients throughout the southeast. She and Kirby were forerunners and avid supporters of the revitalization of downtown Greenville. They were the first to select downtown as their permanent residence where they lived above their business. Louise had an outstanding flair and artistic ability. Through her exceptional talent and her love for beauty, her expertise as an interior designer brought pleasure to many. After her husband's death in 2010 Louise continued to operate Town House Galleries with the help of her daughter, Caroline, until 2016. Even at age 85 she continued to work with her clients.
Louise lived life to the fullest. Her energy was boundless. She was a very unique individual with a full passion for life. She loved people and animals. Her pets were treated as family. She loved parades and patriotic music. She loved flowers and floral arranging. She had a beautiful rooftop garden at her downtown location. She loved holidays and celebrations with her family. Of the many things she did, she greatly enjoyed entertaining. She graciously opened her home to others. Her artistic talents and her love for preparing exquisite cuisine led to many elegant parties. Many happy times were shared with family and friends. If you met Louise, you did not forget her. We are going to miss you, Big Mama.
