Lucy Rolland McWhorter, 79 of Greenville passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2014. Born in Central, SC, she was the daughter of the late James and Willie Lee Rolland. Lucy was a devoted wife and mother. She attended Overbrook Baptist Church in Greenville. She loved gardening and singing to her savior, Jesus Christ. She is survived by her husband: Richard Wallace McWhorter; two daughters: Cecillia "Cissy" McWhorter Addis (Hal) and Dellisca "Dee" Leigh; two sons: Richard "Ricky" Anthony McWhorter (Pattie) and Gregory "Greg" Brian McWhorter; 2 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Woodlawn Funeral Home from 10-11 am followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am in the funeral home and burial in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
