Many people know Lynne for things such as being an alumni of Lander College, where she was the"Rat Queen" in her freshman year and a member of Second Presbyterian Church or as a volunteer in roles and activities including: Crisis Center call center, Census Taker, Circle Church Leader and Wedding Director at Northside UMC, delivered Meals On Wheels, Hotsy Totsy Bridge Club member, Member of Ex Libris Bookclub, Member of Circle 5, Second Presbyterian, and a lifetime Member of Dance de Noel, Greenwood, SC.
To her family, she was Mom and Grandmother who always ended a conversation with “I Love You”. She was the best Mother in the world and she is the reason family members are so close and always say “I Love You” at the end of every conversation. She would give some money every time she saw her children and grandchildren and often said she would give or do anything for her family. People were instantly drawn to Mom. As a Grandmother, she drove her grandchildren across the country, flew to Germany to bring grandchildren back to the states, attended school and athletic events of her grandchildren. She kept her grands so her daughters could work. Grands loved spending the night and staying with her over the summer. Many overnight trips to the beach, mountains, and sight-seeing trips and she loved visiting and seeing her great grandchildren. She always said, “I feel sorry for the people that do not have my children”.
She had a great sense of humor and she will be sorely missed but her impact she made on her family and anyone who knew her will never be forgotten. She loved with her whole heart and always told us she loved being a Mom and would tell anyone that would listen about her family.
